FROM SAVAR: A fire broke out at shooting spot of film star Manwar Hossain Dipjal in Savar, on outskirts of the capital, on Saturday noon.

Five fire fighting units brought the fire under control after trying for one hour.

Dipjal claimed that the fire gutted properties worth two crore.

Locals said the fire originated at the shooting spot in Rajfulbaria area of Tetuljhora union of Savar around 2:30pm. 

Savar Fire Station Officer Anwar told banglanews the fire might be originated from an electric shot circuit and spread quickly as there was lot of highly flammable elements at the godown of the shooting spot.

Employees of the shooting spot said Dipjal used to pass most of his times here at the shooting spot reclusively.

The fire might be originated from his cigarette stubs, they added.

Manwar Hossain Dipjal confirmed the matter of fire incident but denied to make further comment.
