NEW YORK: Bangladeshi-Americans from across the US would be attending the public reception in honour of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina here on September 27, organizers of the event said.

US unit of Awami League took huge preparation for the reception of Prime Minister.

Sheikh Hasina is going to New York to attend the 69th General Assembly of the United Nations (UN) on Monday.

The leaders and activists held several gatherings of their activists to make a success the celebration of the 40th anniversary of achieving UN membership at different places in New York.

US Awami League, NY city Awami League, US Juba League, US Muktijudda Sangshad and other organizations have already taken huge preparation to give reception to the Prime Minister.

They are also campaigning through popular social media facebook.

Beside, US Awami League unit declared a committee consisting one thousand members for the grand reception of September 27.

On the other hand, Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) New York unit will arrange demonstrations protesting the PM’s visit.
