Security guard electrocuted in city

DHAKA: A security guard was electrocuted at Mamtaz market of Banglabazar area in capital on Friday.

The deceased was identified as Yasin Munshi, 30, security guard of Mamtaz market and son of Anwar Munshi of Zianagar Thana in Pirojpur district.

Deceased younger brother, Belal Hossain, said to banglanews that he came in contract with a live wire while cleaning the water house of the market, leaving him severely injured.

Locals rushed Yasin to the Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) where duty-doctor declared him dead around 1:20 pm.

Mozammel Haque, DMCH police outpost in-charge, confirmed the matter to banglanews.
