COX’S BAZAR: Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) members, in a drive, seized around 90,000 pieces of Yaba tablets worth Tk 2.70 crore from switch gate area in Teknaf upazila of the district on Sunday.

Acting on a tip-off, the BGB team conducted a drive in the area and recovered the huge amount of Yaba in the afternoon, said the BGB sources.

Public relations officer of BGB Headquarters Mohsin Reza confirmed the matter to banglanews.

He said the contraband tablets were brought to Bangladesh from Myanmar though the sea.

However, none was detained in this connection, he added.
