Packaging factory catches fire in Gazipur

GAZIPUR: A fire broke out in a packaging factory in Rajendrapur area under Sadar upazila of the district on Sunday night.

The fire originated around 8:45pm at the factory and spread out rapidly.

Deputy Director of Gazipur Fire Service Aktaruzzaman Liton said three fire fighting units rushed to the spot and tried to douse the flame.

The reason behind the fire could not be known immediately.

Sub-Inspector of Hotapara Police outpost Harunur Rashid confirmed the matter to banglanews.
