DHAKA: A gang of miscreants called ‘Ogyan Party’ or ‘Malam Party’ has become active again ahead of Eid-ul-Azha and Durga Puja.

Police on Monday detained three of the gang along with two more hijackers from city’s Dhanmondi area.

Sources said police also seized a private car, four CNG-run auto-rickshaws and Tk 56,000 from them.

Police additional deputy commissioner (ADC) Saidur Rahman said that the snatchers have been detained from dawn to the morning.

Identities and details of the detainees will be disclosed later at a press briefing at Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Media Center, he added.

However, ‘Malam Party’ goons snatch money and goods from people making them unconscious.
