DHAKA: The deceived hajj pilgrims are finally going to Saudi Arabia to perform hajj with the airfare of the government.
A total of 392 out 630 deceived hajj pilgrims have already flown to Saudi Arabia.
The rest of them are waiting to fly by Tuesday, the last day for hajj flights.
However, the government is arranging the flights for the deceived people.
A total of 95,396 hajj pilgrims have already reached to Makkah till Monday.
Dhaka Hajj Office Information Service Center sources confirmed the matter to banglanews.
Information Service Center executive Mahbub Hossain said, “We have got the passports of 392 deceived people out of 630.”
They have already been sent to Makkah on Sunday and Monday and rest of the people would be sent within Tuesday, he added.
He also said the fare of the flights would be given by the government and the other expenditures would be carried by the pilgrims by themselves.
Stern actions would be taken against the alleged hajj agencies, he further said.
Mahbub Hossain also said that some 2,000 people are still waiting to go to Saudi Arabia.
The pilgrims will be sent through last four flights on Tuesday.
President Abdul Hamid will also fly on Tuesday to perform hajj.
A 47-member delegation, including Rashida Hamid, wife of the President, two sons, their wives and President’s personal officer, among others, will accompany him.
On the other hand, law enforcers held managers of two fraud agencies and recovered 59 passports of the pilgrims.
Airport Thana Officer-in-Charge Shah Alam confirmed the matter to banglanews.
