DHAKA: A minor was killed as a train hit her in Moghbazar area of the capital on Monday afternoon.

The deceased was identified as Suraiya, 4, daughter of Nurul Islam of the area.

Locals said a Dhaka-bound train hit her while she was playing on the rail-track around 4:00pm, leaving her injured critically.

She was rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where on-duty doctor declared her dead.
