BENAPOPLE (JESSORE): Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) members detained 14 Bangladeshi people including woman and children while trespassing border at Putkhali frontier in Port Thana area of the district on Tuesday.

BGB sources said being tipped off that some people are trespassing the border, they conducted the drive in the area and detained them from the frontier around 6:00am.

The detainees said they were going to India for treatment, trade and other purpose.

Officer-in-Charge Apurbo Hasan of Benapole Port Thana confirming the matter to banglanews said they will be produce before the Jessore court after filing a case with the Thana at noon.
