DHAKA: A Dhaka court on Wednesday summoned post, telecommunications and information technology minister Latif Siddique in two cases for his derogatory remarks that demeaned hajj.

The cases were filed with Dhaka Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (CMM) court.

The CMM court asked the minister to appear before the court on October 28 in the case filed by the Supreme Court’s senior lawyer KMM Abed Raza.

Latif Siddique is also asked to appear before the court on October 30 in a case filed by plaintiff Alhajj Mohammad Badal.
