DHAKA: Two people were killed in separate incidents in Mirpur and Abdullahpur area in the city. 

The deceased were identified as Shah Alam, 28, son of Bazlu Mia and Khadija, 55. 

Family sources said that Shah Alam was returning from his working station and trying to cross a road, then a passenger bus knocked him down in Mirpur-14, leaving him critically injured.

Later, the injured was rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where duty doctor declared him dead around 9:00pm. 

On the other hand, an old woman named Khadija was crashed under a passenger bus in Abdullahpur bus stand area, leaving her critically injured. Later, she was rushed to Tongi Hospital where duty doctor declared her dead. 

Confirming the matter Uttara West Thana Sub-Inspector (SI) Alamgir Kabir told banglanews the bodies were kept to Dhaka Medical College morgue hospital.
