COMILLA: A police man was killed and two others policemen injured in a road accident Ghorashal Bailey Bridge area of Muradnagar Upazila of the district on Thursday night.

The deceased was identified as Sub-Inspector Abdul Kader, 40, Officer-in-Charge of Shibliganj police outpost. 

The injured are- Constable Alamgir Hossain and Shariful Islam. 

Sources said that the victim with two constables was going to visit Puja pavilions and at one stage the cops carrying motorbike hit a bailey bridge in the area around 10:00pm, leaving Abdul Kader dead on the spot and injured two others. 

Later, the injured were sent to Comilla Medical College Hospital.

Muradnagar Thana Officer-in-Charge Nazim Uddin confirmed the matter to banglanews.
