DHAKA: All-out preparation is underway at the National Eidgah Maidan for the main congregation of Eid-ul-Azha in Dhaka city.
Setting up of close circuit (CC) cameras, waterproof shed, lighting, and electric fans are going on in a full-fledge.
Dhaka Metropolitan Police are taking tight security measures to ensure protection to the devotees who will offer prayers there.
Along with the each entrance, a total of 64 CC cameras are being set up. A police camp has been set up on the North side of the main entrance and the camp of Rapid Action Battalion on the south side.
Supervision of the ground will be handed over to the security forces after completing all preparatory works within Sunday afternoon.

About 95 percent of total preparation works has already been completed, Dhaka South City Corporation social warfare officer Khondakar Millatul Islam told banglanews.
Khondakar, who is responsible to supervise the preparatory works, added that cent percent of total works will be finished within Saturday.
Special shed on the north-west side of the ground will be used for VVIPs and VIPs while camp on the south-west side for women.
Court premises and open ground of Housing and Public Works Ministry will be used for vehicle parking.
Eid prayer will begin at 8:00am on the Eid day. Moulana Mohammad Salahuddin, khatib of Baitul Mukarram, will lead the prayer. A total of 1.2 lakhs devotees are expected to join the prayer there.
