DHAKA: Leather traders and manufacturers of leather goods in Bangladesh have jointly fixed the price of every square foot hide at Tk 70 to 75 for cows for Dhaka district and Tk 60 to 65 for outside of Dhaka.

Bangladesh Finished Leather, Leather Goods and Footwear Exporters Association (BFLLFEA) president Engineer Abu Taher declared the price for hides and skins in a press conference at its office in city’s Dhanmondi area on Friday.

“We fixed the price of every square foot hide at Tk 35 to 40 for buffalo, non-salt hide and Tk 30 to 35 for goat,” he added.
