DHAKA: The Department of Environment of the Ministry of Environment and Forests (MoEF) sent SMS (Short Message Service) to the countrymen Friday on the Qurbani wastage management of Eid-ul-Azha, scheduled to be held on Monday.

The ministry also greeted people on the eve of Eid in the SMS.

The SMS said that “Lets remove the waste of Qurbani properly and keep the environment beautiful.”

The ministry also urged the people that the wastages of the animals should be disposed in an eco-friendly way.

The blood and entrails of the slaughtered cattle should be thrown in selected dustbins instead of throwing here and there.

The ministry suggested that officials concerned of nearby City Corporation, municipality and union parishad should be informed to remove the wastages of the animals, if necessary.

The ministry also advised people to use eco-friendly bags to dump the wastages of the slaughtered animals.
