SUNAMGANJ: A man was killed and four others injured in a clash between two groups in Dinertuk village of Doarabazar upazila of the district on Monday.

The deceased was identified as Bashiruddin, 30, son of Iman Ali of the village.

Police detained four people in this connection.

The two groups locked into a clash over a trifle matter in the area around 1:00pm, leaving Bashiruddin critically injured.

Locals rushed him to MAG Osmani Medical College in Sylhet where he succumbed to his injuries.

Doarabazar Thana Officer-in-charge Sharif Newaz confirmed the matter to banglanews.
