DHAKA: The customs authorities have seized 120 gold bars weighting of 14 kg from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in city on Wednesday evening.
Assistant commissioner (preventive) Ruhul Amin of the customs authorities confirmed the matter to banglanews.
The bars worth of Tk 6 crore were recovered from a flight of Regent Airways around 7:00pm.
On the first phase, the authorities recovered 60 gold bars weighting 6 kg from the flight which worth Tk 3 crore.
The authorities have continuing their search operation suspecting that there will be more gold bars in the flight.
