Mastermind among 7 held

DHAKA: Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) on Thursday arrested seven people including mastermind Shamim and vault unlock specialist Raja Miah in connection with the looting of Tk 1.95 crore from BRAC Bank Joypurhat branch.

The elite forces also recovered Tk 56 lakh from their possession.

Earlier, Joypurhat Sadar Thana Officer-in-Charge (investigation) Khairul Bashar confirmed that police arrested Shamim along with Tk 9 lakh from Kushtia district on Wednesday.
