DHAKA: The Anti Corruption Commission (ACC) on Wednesday sued BNP leader Shahid Uddin Chowdhury Anee, also former lawmaker of Laxmipur-3 in connection with the allegation of acquiring wealth illegally.  

The ACC deputy director Manjur Morshed filed the case with Ramna Model Thana Thursday.

Deputy Director (Public Relations) Pranab Kumar Bhattacharya of the ACC confirmed the matter to banglanews.

He said according to the statement of the case, Anne was accused of acquiring wealth of Tk 1.40 crore illegally.

In primary investigation, the ACC found authenticity of the allegation. Later, they filed the case.
