JHALOKATI: A police Sub-Inspector was killed in a road accident in Brac intersection area in Rajapur upazila of the istrict on Thursday afternoon.

The deceased was identified as Jasim Uddin, 40, Sub-Inspector of Kaukhali Thana of Pirojpur and hailed from Barguna.

Police sources said that a micro-bus knocked down a motorcycle carrying Jasim Uddin in the area around 3:45pm, leaving him dead on the spot.

On information police recovered the body and sent it to the hospital morgue for autopsy.

Rajapur Thana Officer-in-Charge (OC) Masuduzzaman confirmed the matter to banglanews.
