DHAKA: The government has appointed Bangladesh Chemical Industries Corporation (BCIC), National Housing Authority (NHA) and Sustainable and Renewable Energy Development Authority (SREDA) chairmen.
It has also appointed new director generals of National Freedom Fighter Council and Primary Education Department.
Besides, the government has appointed Bangladesh Climate Management Trust managing director.
Public administration ministry issued a notification in this regard on Thursday afternoon.
In another notification, the ministry said the government has also re-shuffled 14 additional secretaries and 20 joint secretaries.
As per the notification, National Population Research and Training Institute director general also additional secretary Mohammad Iqbal Hossain has been appointed as the chairman of BCIC.
Member of Bangladesh Export Processing Zones Authority (BEPZA) and also additional secretary Khandakar Akhtaruzzaman has been made chairman of NHA while Power Division additional secretary Tapash Kumar Roy has been made chairman of SREDA.
On the other hand, public administration ministry additional secretary (OSD) Shyamapada Dey has been made director general of National Freedom Fighter Council and expatriates welfare and oversees employment ministry additional secretary M Alamgir has been made director general of Primary Education Department.
