FENI: Rapid Action Battalion (RAB-7) arrested another two accused from Chittagong in the case filed for the murder of Fulgazi upazila chairman Ekramul Haque.

One of the arrestees was identified as Ruti Sohel. The details of the identity of the other is yet to know.

RAB-7 commander Major Mahiuddin confirmed the matter to banglanews.

Acting on a tip-off, the law enforcers conducted a drive in front of Chittagong Medical College and Hospital (CMCH) of the port city and arrested the duo.

The arrestees will be handed over to the Feni Model Thana after initial interrogation, the RAB official added.

On 20 May, Fulgazi upazila chairman and Awami League president of the upazila Ekramul was shot and burnt to death by miscreants.

Three others, who were on the vehicle, were also critically burnt in the incident that took place in front of Bilash Cinema Hall in Academy area of Feni.
