DHAKA: One out of 8 women is attacked by breast cancer across the country, said Bangladesh Breast Cancer Awareness Forum (BBCAF) on Friday.

The Forum unveiled this shocking data at a “Meet The Press” on the occasion of Breast Cancer Awareness Day in the city’s National Press Club on the noon.

This year the slogan of the Day is ‘Rise and Know’.

Speakers at the Meet said a total of 22 thousands women are attacked by breast cancer every day; of them, 17 thousands die annually.

One of the reasons of prevalence of the disease is not to go to the doctors to be demure and feel shy, they added.
