DHAKA: Thousands of city dwellers are returning to the city on Saturday after spending the Eid holidays at their native villages.

A lot of people are trying to make their way back to Dhaka by bus, launch and train.

The city will get its regular view as the people have already started to come back and join their workplace.

Ports, bus depots and train stations around the country experienced an incredible rush of traffic for the entire day on Saturday.

The Dhaka-bound holidaymakers are risking their lives due to overloading and insufficient safety measures on transports.

During a visit to the Sadarghat Launch Terminal on Friday night, it was seen that almost all the launches were plying jam-packed with passengers.

One of the passengers Mohammad Aminul told banglanews that he is government employee and he took an extra holiday on Wednesday and Thursday to stretch the holiday right up to Saturday and spend a quality time with his family.

The authority of Sadarghat Launch Terminal said that people are making back their journey to Dhaka to join their workplaces ignoring the risks.

However, a huge crowd is a common scenario of all railway stations, bus and launch terminals.
