DHAKA: Agriculture Minister Matia Chowdhury on Sunday said a total of 2 lakhs and 5 thousands farmers will get incentives in 25 districts across the country.

She came to this disclosure at a press conference at the Secretariat in city on Sunday noon.

Matia Chowdhury said the seeds of Boro paddy, wheat, maize and mustered will be provided to the farmers.

Fertilizers will also be provided to the farmers under the project of agriculture incentives in country’s southern region with a total budget of Tk 30.97 crores, she added.

According to her, the beneficiaries are expected to produce crops worth about Tk 187.37 crores.

Agriculture ministry secretary Dr SM Nazmul Islam and additional secretary Anwar, among others, were present at the conference.
