DHAKA: BRAC University Professor Dr Piash Karim’s body has been kept at mortuary of Square Hospital in the city.

He breathed his last at the hospital around 5:30am Monday.

Family sources said that family members informed the hospital about the illness of Dr Piash Karim and then he was shifted to hospital quickly by an ambulance.

Later, duty doctors said he died on way to the hospital.

Square Hospital Customer Officer Biswajit Dey told banglanews that the body of Piash Karim has been kept at mortuary for two days.

Piash’s brother Jahir Karim told banglanews that their three sisters live in America, Canada and India. They needed time to reach home. So, we will take decision on Tuesday on burial of Piash.
