2 Bangladeshis electrocuted on frontier in Chudanga

CHUADANGA: Two Bangladeshis were electrocuted beyond the Gayeshwar border area in Jibannagar upazila of the district early Wednesday.

The deceased were identified as Suja Uddin, 35, son of one Ali Geja, and Ananda, 28, son of one Abdul Mannan, hailed from Gayeshpur Uttar Para of the upazila.

Quoting local sources, Jibannagar Thana Police told banglanews that some 8-10 people, including Suja Uddin and Ananda entered India crossing the international pillar no 67/2.

While entering deeper into India Suja Uddin and Ananda came in contact with electric wire and died on the spot, police added.

Others left the bodies in fear.

On information, relatives recovered the bodies and buried in the afternoon.

Chuadanga-6 BGB Commanding Lieutenant Colonel SM Moniruzzaman confirmed the matter to banglanews.
