RANGPUR: At least 25 persons, including three policemen, were injured during a clash between law enforcers and chain master of Motor Owners’ Association at Satmatha of the district Tuesday midnight.
The identities of the injured are yet to be known.
Sources told banglanews that local chain masters (motor workers) locked into clashes with police when the law enforcers protested them during occupying Satmatha Bus Stand in the midnight.
They opened fire and threw cocktails targeting the police, sources added. Later, police also opened fire to save themselves.
However, at least 25 people, including three men of Bangladesh police, were injured at that time, according to the sources.
Confirming the matter, Kotwali Thana Officer-in-Charge (OC) Abdul Kader Jilani said that the situation is now under control.
