DHAKA: A housewife allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself in city’s Mirpur-Kalshi area on Friday.

The deceased was identified as Tania Akter, 22, wife of one Ratan Mizi.

Tania got married with expatriate Ratan around 18 months ago and she might have committed suicide over family feud, said Tania’s cousin Kawsar. 

However, on information, police recovered her hanging body from her residence in the area around 11:00am.

Her body was sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) morgue for autopsy.

Sub-Inspector of Pallabi Thana Farukuzzaman confirmed the matter to banglanews.
