DHAKA: President Abdul Hamid left for Dubai of United Arab Emirates on Monday morning to attend the 10th World Islamic Economic Forum (WIEF).

A regular flight of Emirates Airlines, carrying the honorable President, left Shahjalal International Airport for Dubai at 10.15 am, said sources concerned.

President Abdul Hamid will address the WIEF on Tuesday, the opening day of the forum.

According to the foreign ministry, the President is visiting Dubai at the invitation of Vice-President and Prime Minister of UAE and ruler of Dubai Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum.

He will return home on October 29, said foreign ministry sources.

Heads of state and government of a number of countries are expected to join the WIFE.
