DHAKA: Train movement on Dhaka-Gazipur route came to a halt for three hours since a train crashed into a truck in Uttara area of the city on Tuesday late night.
Train communications became normal at 1:30am on Wednesday after clearing the rail track, said Kamlapur Railway Police Officer-In-Charge Mazid around 2:00am.
Mazid told that, following the mishap, railway police, members of railway security with the help of police forces from local thana and locals removed the wreckages of the crashed truck from the rail tracks.
Earlier, a running train smashed into the truck on Azampur rail crossing in Uttara, halting the rail communication for three hours.
No causality was reported. None of the truck driver and helper was detained.
