BAHRAIN:  Bangladeshi workers who were cheated by Industrial Security Maintenance Company (ISMCO) of Bahrain received due payments on Sunday local time.

Bangladesh Labor counsel in Bahrain Mahidul Islam confirmed the matter to banglanews.

Mohidul told that a lawsuit was filed against ISMCO at the country’s Labour Market Regulatory Authority seeking payment of the workers’ unpaid salaries and other incentives.

Following the lawsuit, the company paid the workers’ dues through bank cheque.

For now, the workers will have opportunity to change their work-permit, they either can work at ISMCO or move to new companies, added the counselor.
