BOGRA: Two people were killed and four others injured in a road accident on Dhaka-Bogra Highway in Ariabazar area of Shahjahanpur upazila in the district on Thursday.

The deceased were identified as Shahidul Islam, 30, son of Mahtab Uddin of Monirampur area of Jessore district and auto-rickshaw passenger Abdur Rashid, 55, son of late Abdus Samad of Jadabpur area of the upazila.

Shahjahanpur Thana Officer-in-charge Abdul Mannan confirmed the matter to banglanews.

He said a rashly driven truck crushed into a CNG-run auto-rickshaw and a motorbike in the area around 4:30pm, leaving six people injured.

They were rushed to Bogra Shahid Ziaur Rahman Medical College and Hospital. But, Shahidul and Rashid succumbed to their injuries on way to the hospital.
