GAZIPUR: The Detective Branch (DB) of police in a drive detained a youth and recovered three foreign pistols, 11 rounds of bullet and four magazines from him at Sadar town of the district Thursday night.

The detainee was identified as Roni, 24, hailed from Nalitabari upazila of Sherpur.

Police sources said acting on a tip off, the law enforcers challenged a private car in the Maleker Bari area of the town around 7:00pm and nabbed Roni.

Police also seized three foreign made pistols, 11 rounds of bullets, four magazines and a private car from his possession.

Sub-Inspector of Gazipur Police Station Bachchu Mia confirmed the matter to banglanews.
