PARBATIPUR (DINAJPUR): Two persons were killed in a road accident in Bhusirbandar area under Chirirbandar upazila of the district on Friday.

The deceased were identified as Abdur Aziz, 38, son of Nazrul Islam at Fatejangpur village of Chirirbandar upazila and Manik Chandra Roy, 28, son of Sattyen Chandra Roy at Kachinia village of Khansama upazila.

Confirming the matter, Officer-in-Charge Rowson Mostafa of Chirirbandar Thana said Aziz and Manik were returning from ‘Kantazie Mandir’ ridding on a van.

Suddenly a speedy bus rammed the van on Dinajpur-Sayedpur road in the area in the morning, leaving Manik dead on the spot and Aziz critically injured.

Locals rushed the injured to the Dinajpur Medical College where the attending doctors declared him dead around 12:00pm.
