MOULVIBAZAR: Four people were killed and another was injured in a road accident on Sreemangal-Mirpur road in Kamaichhara area of the district on Monday.

The identities of the deceased could not be known immediately.

Local sources said that a truck collided head-on with a pick-up van in the area around 8:00am, leaving the driver of the pick-up van dead on the spot and four others injured critically.

The inured were rushed to the hospital where three of them succumbed to their injuries around 11:00pm.

Sreemangal Highway Thana Assistant Sub-Inspector Mohammad Nannu Mia confirmed the matter to banglanews.
