DHAKA: Detective Branch (DB) of police on Thursday, in a night long drive, detained at least 31 foreigners from different areas of the capital for living illegally in Bangladesh.

Though the identities of the detainee couldn’t be known immediately, but most of them are from African countries.

Confirming the matter, DMP media center deputy police commissioner Masudur Rahman said that the foreigners were nabbed from Gulshan, Baridhara, Uttara and Khilkhet area by a DB team of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP).

The details of the detainees’ will be disclosed later though a press conference, he added.
