NARAYANGANJ: A teenager hacked his father to death with a sharp weapon at Dahar Marwadi village in Araihajar upazila Tuesday.

The deceased was identified as Emran Mia, 55, resident of the village.

Sources told banglanews that Raihan, 19, over a family dispute, hacked his father to death brutally in the morning.

Quoting locals, Araihajar Thana sub-inspector (SI) Saiful Islam said Emran had been locked into altercation with his wife since morning.

“At one stage of the quarreling, Raihan killed his father supporting his mother,” he added.

On information police rushed to the spot and detained the killer, said the SI. “We have also sent the body to Narayanganj 100-Bed General Hospital morgue for autopsy.
