DHAKA: Police recovered body of a Bangladesh-born British citizen from Banani area of the city on Friday.

The deceased was identified as Mezbah Uddin, 71. Sub-inspector (SI) Jahangir Alam of Banani Thana confirmed the matter to banglanews.

Being informed, the law enforcers recovered the body breaking the door of the house as it was locked from inside and sent it to the Dhaka Medical College and Hospital morgue for autopsy.

Senior assistant commissioner Nurul Alam of Gulshan Zone said there was blood in his whole body and in the room but the body had no injury marks.

Mezbah came to Bangladesh on November 3 from UK and lived the flat alone.
