RAJBARI: Vice-Chairman of Pangsha Upazila Parishad Munshi Nader Hossain, also district Krishak League president, who sustained gunshot wounds in the chest, died at Faridpur Medical College and Hospital early Saturday.

District Krishak League general secretary Nure Alam Siddiqui confirmed the matter to banglanews.

Officer-in-Charge of Pangsha Thana Abul Bashar Mia told banglanews that Munshi Nader Hossain sustained gunshot wounds in the chest as a gang of miscreants shot twice aiming him while he was going to market around 9:00am on Friday.

The bullet-wounded vice-chairman was rushed to Pangsha Upazila Health Complex from where he was shifted to Faridpur Medical College and Hospital, he added.

OC Abul Bashar Mia further said they have been trying to detain the miscreants.
