Latif’s presence at HC denied

DHAKA: Just one hour after confirming the presences of Abdul Latif Siddique at High Court (HC) for his bail appeal, his counsel Nurul Islam Suzon MP now denied his speech.

Earlier in the day, Nurul Islam Suzon acknowledged that Latif Siddque reached at HC around 10:30am with an anticipatory bail plea as several lower courts issued 11 arrest warrants against him in cases filed over comments demeaning hajj, Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) and Tablighi Jamaat.

However, after an hour of acknowledging, Nurul Islam Suzon denied about the presence of Latif Siddique at the HC premises.

Latif Siddique returned to country by an Indian Airlines jet at 8:40pm on Sunday.

Recently, Latif Siddique was sacked from the ruling Awami League cabinet, expelled from the party presidency and later from the party for his comments about hajj, Hazarat Mohammad (PBUH) and Tablighi Jamaat.
