NARAYANGANJ: A district court Monday sentenced two men to death and one to life imprisonment for killing one trader Nazrul Islam.

Additional district and session judge (first court) Mamunur Rashid passed the vedict around 11:30am.

The death convicts are – Rana Mia and Moslehuddin, hailed from the Bandar upazila.

The court also fined Tk 250,000 to the death convicts and Tk 200,000 to the life-timer. All three convicts are fugitive.

Additional public prosecutor MA Rahim told banglanews on October 22, 2011, the three convict killed Nazrul over a clash centering money and thrown the body into Shitlakkhya River.

He further said deceased’s brother filed a law suit with the court in this regard. The convicts gave confessional statement before the court.
