DHAKA: Fire fighters doused a fire that broke out at a bicycle factory of Meghna Group in the city’s Tejgaon area on Wednesday.

Fire Service and Civil Defense control room duty officer Shahjadi Sultana confirmed the matter to banglanews.

Originated at 1:50pm, the fire soon engulfed the factory. Later, eight fire fighting units rushed in and extinguished the flame at 2:15pm after a frantic effort of nearly half-an-hour.

Reasons behind the fire could not be known immediately and the damage has not been estimated yet.
