‘Kathmandu Declaration’ Thursday afternoon

KATHMANDU (NEPAL): The ‘Kathmandu Declaration’, focusing on more connectivity and cooperation among the SAARC countries, will be announced in the final hours of the summit on Thursday afternoon.

The heads of the SAARC countries will speak here on the follow-up and future plans of the summit.

The leaders of South Asia regional bodies are trying to find out ways to stay relevant in a more globalized, inter-connected and inter-dependent world.

However, Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has suddenly fallen sick and has been taking rest at Crowne Plaza Kathmandu-Soaltee hotel.

Foreign affairs ministry sources said that she felt pain in her eyes.

According to the schedule, all the SAARC leaders visited recreation centers of Dwarika but Hasina could not visit there due to her illness.
