HABIGNAJ: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina inaugurated and laid foundation stones of several development projects including gas transmission line and gas production from extended part of Bibiana gas field in Nabiganj upazila of the district on Saturday.

Earlier, a helicopter carrying the premier landed near the Bibiana Gas Field at 11:45am.

She visited Bibiana Gas Field and inaugurated the production of gas from the extended area of Bibiana Gas Field and Bibiana-Dhanua gas transmission line.

Thereafter, she laid the foundation stone of 400MW combined cycle power plant project.

The PM also will inaugurate other important projects including Habiganj Modern Stadium, Habiganj Diabetic Hospital, Habiganj Nursing Institute, Habiganj District Council Auditorium and Community Center, Habiganj District Shilpakala Academy Building, Habiganj Server Station, Aleya Zahir College, District Commandant, Ansar and VDP Office Building, Baniachang Fire Service and Civil Defense Station, Shayestaganj Fire Service and Civil Defense Station and Habiganj Central Eidgah development program.

Besides these, she will lay the foundation stones of Azmiriganj Upazila Muktijoddha Complex Bhaban and Shahjibazar 300MW combined cycle power plant project.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will then attend a rally at Habiganj Newfield area in the afternoon before heading back to Dhaka.
