DHAKA: A young girl committed suicide in Uttar Badda area of the city on Monday.
The deceased was identified as Tania, 19.
Sub-inspector (SI) Humayun Kabir of Badda Thana told banglanews that Tania used to live with her maternal uncle and aunt in the area.
They spotted the hanging body from the roof in the noon and informed police.
The law enforcers recovered the body and sent it to the Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) for autopsy, the SI added.
