2 schoolboys held with Yaba tablets

DHAKA: Police detained two schoolboys with 1000 pieces of Yaba tablets in Abdullapur area of Uttara in the city early Thursday.

The detainees are Shuvo, 14, a class VII student of Khaskakua High School, son of Anwar Hossain, and Rubel, 10, a class V student of Delda Government Primary School, son of Razab Ali. Both hailed from Delda village under Sadar upazila of Tangail district.

Police said the boys were coming to the city to sale Yaba tablets; police nabbed them from a check post in the area around 12:00am and seized the Yaba tablets, warped with black scotch tap.

Uttara East Thana Officer-In-Charge M Ali Hossain confirmed the matter to banglanews.

A case was filed against the boys under the Narcotics Control Act, Ali said.
