RAJSHAHI:  A Rajshahi court sent five accused to jail after two-day remand in Rajshahi University (RU) teacher AKM Shafiul Islam murder case.

Assistant Commissioner Ifte Khair Alam, spokesperson of Rajshahi Metropolitan Police confirmed the matter to banglanews on Thursday.

Answering a query about the finding during the remand, he said the information will be disclosed later for the sack of investigation.

Earlier on Tuesday, Rajshahi Metropolitan Magistrate Court-3 placed the five accused on two-day remand.

The accused are Katakhali Municipality Jubo Dal former organizational secretary Ariful Islam Manik, Jubo Dal activists Sabuj, Pintu, Al-Mamun and Sirajul Islam Kalu.
