Bhutan PM due in Bangladesh Saturday

SAVAR (DHAKA): Bhutanese Prime Minister Tshering Tobgay is scheduled to reach Bangladesh on Saturday in a three-day official visit in response to invitation by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

Bangladesh foreign ministry sources said a 10-member delegation including Bhutanese foreign minister and economics affairs minister will visit Bangladesh.

Sheikh Hasina will receive the Bhutanese prime minister at Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka Saturday morning.

Tshering Tobgay will visit the National Memorial at Savar to pay homage to the martyrs of Liberation War in 1971.

All people are prohibited to visit the National Memorial on December 5-6 for the preparation to receive the Bhutanese premier.

Additional law enforcers have been deployed in the Savar area to avert any subversive action.
