MUNSHIGANJ: At least 30 people were injured as a passenger bus turned turtle in Medini Mandal area under Louhajang upazila of the district on Saturday noon.

Police sources said that a Dhaka-bound passenger bus overturned on Dhaka-Mawa highway in the area around 1:30pm, leaving at least 30 people injured.

The injured were rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital and National Institute of Traumatology and Orthopedic Rehabilitation (NITOR).

A long tailback was created on the highway due to the accident.

However, the movement of the vehicles became normal after an hour of the mishap when a wrecker of Roads and Highway picked away the bus.

Highway police sergeant Sahadat Hossain confirmed the matter to banglanews.
